Abstract: Tsunamis are a natural part of our world. However, since the beginning of time they have wreaked havoc and destruction. In this talk, Bob will explain how tsunamis form and their association with large earthquakes.
Bio: Bio: In 1964 Bob graduated B.Sc. (Honours) in Geology from the University of Adelaide. He joined the South Australian Department of Mines in 1965 and over the following 30 years mapped rocks in far north - west South Australia, islands off Eyre Peninsula, and the uranium - bearing rocks on "Arkaroola." He travelled in Australia and overseas on international geological excursions which included Italy in 1985.
