Trá Pháidín + Shamrock ShowbandFriday 5th December | Toales Live Venue, Dundalk | Doors 8PM | Admission €10 online / €12 on the door
Toales Live Venue welcomes a night of eclectic and experimental sounds with Trá Pháidín and Shamrock Showband.
Trá Pháidín are an enigmatic force in Ireland’s independent music scene. Their third album, An 424 — mixed by John ‘Spud’ Murphy and named after a Co. Galway bus route — showcases the band’s utterly compelling mix of jazz, folk, art-rock, and polished chaos. This many-headed ensemble has earned their stripes with high-profile support slots for legends such as Squid, Katie Kim, and John Francis Flynn, and their live shows are nothing short of a captivating whirlwind of creativity.
Joining them are Shamrock Showband, the border-pop duo of Jamie Bishop and Conor McAuley, who bring stripped-back renditions of old-timey fiddle tunes, country ballads, and original material. Their performances fuse influences from ‘country and Irish’, old-time fiddle music, and punk, creating a raw, vibrant homage to the legacy of Irish music.
A night of musical invention, energy, and storytelling awaits — another unmissable showcase of original talent at Dundalk’s hub for live music, Toales.
