Brush Masters is back folks! Our instore hobby help sessions are returning to the store on the third Saturday of every month and we’ll be available and on hand to teach you some new skills and techniques to help paint your miniatures. Each month we will provide you with a different miniature and focus on something different to help cover a range of different ways to help bring your miniatures to life.
BRUSH MASTERS JANUARY SESSION
SATURDAY 17TH JANUARY 10:30-12:30 THEN 13:30-15:30
This months session will be focussing on HIGHLIGHTING YOUR MODELS. We will have hobby pods teaching both Drybrushing and Edge Highlighting giving you a couple of options for how to paint your models.
Drybrushing is a great generic skill that all hobbyists should have in their bat belt and it is a skill that can be transferred across a multitude of different model types. It is great for getting that gritty and weathered feel on your models and is a technique you will use again and again while painting your miniatures.
Edge Highlighting helps take your models to that next level. Ever wanted to paint like the box art in the Eavy Metal style? Well this is the technique to get you started down that path. We’ll use Base, Shade and Layer paints to build up the levels required for this skill and show you how to really make your miniatures pop!
What will I need to bring along?
We will provide the miniatures, you just need to bring your own paints and brushes. We will have some on hand to show you the techniques but we strongly recommend you bring your own tools along for the sessions.
Spaces for these sessions are limited hobby heroes, so if you would like to come along and learn one of these new techniques then get in touch with us and we will book you in for one of our two slots through the day.
