WARHAMMER ABERDEEN: TRY SOMETHING NEW: Horus Heresy 3rd Edition

To celebrate the launch of the new edition of the Horus Heresy, we are helping you take the plunge into the Age of Darkness with another Try Something New Day! We have built up some small store armies you can borrow, or bring along your own models to fight for glory and The Emperor/Warmaster!
What is Warhammer: The Horus Heresy?
The galaxy burns! Warmaster Horus has betrayed the Emperor and plunged the Imperium into civil war! An age of darkness has descended upon the galaxy. It is a war of brother against brother, Space Marine against Space Marine, which has seen the might of the Imperium's vast armies turned upon itself in a cataclysm of fire and blood.
In Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, you will pit mighty armies of superhuman warriors against each other in apocalyptic tabletop battles. Choose your favoured Legion – from the knightly Dark Angels to the duplicitous Alpha Legion – or forces of the Solar Auxilia or Mechanicum, build your own army and clash with fellow players in wargames, fighting the greatest battles of legend. The tale of the Horus Heresy is the bedrock of Warhammer 40,000's rich history, and the game lets you play out those moments yourself, clashing primarchs and legions in a game similar but different to regular Warhammer 40,000.
What do I need to take part?
For this Try Something New Day, we have built a number of store armies for new players to borrow and get into the battles of legend within the Horus Heresy system. All you need to do is book a slot and come on down and we will provide everything you need to play and learn this new game!
If you do have your own models for The Horus Heresy, or have picked up a Saturnine box set already, the demo armies are all approximately 600 points - feel free to bring your own models along so you can learn with your army and legion of choice! If you’re not sure what models to use exactly, then bring along what you have and we can help on the day forge it into a force ready for the learning games.
