In today’s world, truth is under relentless attack, with ever-evolving tactics used to distort reality. Populists rise to power, aggressors conduct “business as usual,” and free societies are bombarded by false narratives and swarms of bots.To confront these threats and build informational resilience, Vitsche is launching the Truth to Justice Conference on russian disinformation. This event, organized in collaboration with the Kyiv School of Economics (Ukraine), Arta Azi (Moldova), and Ukrainian Institute in Germany, and supported by the German Foreign Office, will take place on December 7, 2024, at Berlin’s iconic Silent Green venue.
The Truth to Justice conference will unpack the tactics of media manipulation and explore enduring propaganda narratives, presenting case studies of resilience against russian psychological operations in Ukraine and Moldova and examining russia’s targeting of Germany. Participants will gain insights into media manipulation from a decolonial perspective, exploring modern tools—such as algorithms and memes—that drive disinformation. International speakers will also share cutting-edge fact-checking techniques for everyday use.
