'Truth in Verse' | Authentic Relating & Poetry Day RetreatSATURDAY 21st February 2026
10 AM - 5.30 PM (the time might be slightly modified)
At Glenrock Scout Hall, NSW
THE INTENTION
Drop and forget the phone and the screen for the day.
Connect with Self, community and nature as you get to experience the joy and surprises of Authentic Relating and Poetic Expression.
WHO IS THIS FOR
- Adults
- All levels of Authentic Relating experience welcome.
- You have the capacity to sit on the floor as we will sit on the ground. Please bring cushions to be able to sit on the floor.
- You have an open mind, you are curious
- You are willing to reveal yourself while also standing for yourself
- You are perhaps shy and introverted and want to be guided safely or you are extraverted though want to improve your relational skills in a safe space
- You value self-realisation and have some embodied experience as a compassionate being
- You appreciate being in community
AND
- You have a poem or two that you would love to express outloud.
WHAT IT IS NOT:
This is not a substitute to individual therapy
This is not a space to preach, to give advice
WHAT TO EXPECT
- A opening circle
- Some authentic relating and practices in the scout hall
- Some practices might take place in nature (outside in the grass and on the land)
- A spacious break for lunch and connections, as well as possibility to go for a swim at the beach
- Some poetry games
- A 'spoken word' optional performance in the afternoon.
- A closing circle
- Some movement, and shaking practice in between activities.
BRING
- Comfortable clothing, swimmers as well as layers
- A beach towel
- BYO lunch and cutlery
- A small thing / some food to share (savoury or sweet)
- A water bottle
- A notebook and a pen
- Your poems if you want to perform it
- A cushion or two, what you need to be comfortable in the space as we will be sitting on the floor.
COST:
$120 - Till Friday 20th February 11.55 PM
