On Saturday August 30, 11am-1pm, Anya Light will be offering THE MYSTICAL ART OF PRAYER workshop at The Mystical Moons in Defiance, Ohio.This will be a loving, sacred, interfaith container for all those who are seeking healing & spiritual wisdom.
Many of us are in the midst of healing "church trauma" from our youth. Especially those of us from the midwest, who have been taught in our childhood to think of prayer in a very narrow, unhelpful, dualistic way.
But true prayer is an incredibly expansive experience!!! It is NOT asking or begging some authority figure in the sky for something we want. No. True prayer is a MYSTICAL experience of peace and gratitude. True prayer is an ART, where we tune into our intuition and creativity.
When we learn to pray in a better way, we feel expansion. We feel warmth and comfort entering our heart--and not only in the hard times, but in the happy times too. Most importantly, when we experience upgraded prayer we feel relief: because we are releasing the outdated, dualistic notion that the Divine resides outside of us...and we discover the lived reality that we ARE Divine.
God is not 'somewhere else.'
God is RIGHT HERE.
God is this breath, this moment, this leaf, this raindrop, you & me.
Thus, merging into the remembrance of our Divinity makes prayer something we WANT to do throughout the day, as much as possible. We enjoy it!!! We long for it!!! That is what Anya has discovered and that is what she will be sharing at this workshop.
We'll have an open-hearted group discussion about this topic, and then from there she’ll share some practical advice on how to launch, reinvent, or deepen your prayer journey.
