Join Christine Willcocks, curator of True North: From the Forest Floor, for a walk through the exhibition and insights into her curatorial process, as well as works in the exhibition.
One of Byron School of Art’s Directors and a founding member, Christine Willcocks is a well-known artist and printmaker, having won many awards both nationally and locally. Her work can be found in many collections throughout Australia.
As a printmaker with over 20 years experience, Christine’s work crosses disciplines such as drawing, painting, photography, and the three-dimensional. In 2014 she was awarded the Australia Council Skills Development Residency at the Cité Internationale des Arte in Paris, France. Christine has also been teaching contemporary art in the region for over two decades, as a lecturer at Southern Cross University, TAFE, and Byron School of Art.
As the curator of True North’s first iteration, From the Forest Floor, Christine Willcocks brings her breadth of knowledge of arts practices in Northern NSW, and her unique knowledge of artists working in our region.
