Musical improv duo Beautiful Dreamers (Jillian Vitko and Maggie Lalley) created this one-of-a-kind show, where they get an audience suggestion of the victim, the M**der weapon, and the location — from there, they completely improvise a musical right before your eyes to get to the bottom of this never-before-seen and never-to-be-seen again M**der case.
Since forming their duo at the beginning of 2017, Beautiful Dreamers has performed all around the city, at venues such as Magnet Theater, The PIT, Countdown Theater, and others. They've also been accepted into 321 Improv Festival (FL), District Improv Festival (DC), and Interrupted Improv Festival (NYC), where they were named the winners of the TwoProv Cage Match competition.
Their performance style is fun, both comedic and dramatic, and always unique. They created True Crime: the Musical, which premiered at The People's Improv Theater in NYC in 2017 and has been running monthly at The Players Theatre since 2021. They bring big characters, harmonies, and energy to the stage. They're a one-of-a-kind musical improv team you don't want to miss!
Maggie Lalley is a stand up comic, musical comedian and improviser living in New York City. She's performed stand up in the She Makes Me Laugh Festival, Harlem Comedy Festival, She Devil Comedy Festival, and New York Comedy Festival and performs regularly in clubs all over the tristate area. Maggie performs True Crime: The Improvised Musical with her musical improv duo every month at the Players Theater in NYC. Her solo comedy show: Sex Witch the Musical! has performed to sold out audiences in New York, Boston, Austin and LA, and was featured in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Sex Witch ran for 4 weeks in April and May of 2023 at Soho Playhouse and was extended due to popular demand.
Since moving to NYC, Jillian's studied comedy at UCB, The Annoyance, Reckless, and Magnet, where she spent a year on the musical improv house team Pipe Dreams on Musical Megawatt. She also co-created the musical improv show , currently running Off-Broadway at The Players Theatre, with her improv/sketch duo Beautiful Dreamers Comedy. You can catch Jillian in the improvised web series Citizens of New York playing various characters. She also performs as an improviser in the weekly Off-Broadway comedy show On the Spot at Broadway Comedy Club.
Jillian can be seen in film & TV on Amazon, Netflix, Investigation Discovery, and TLC, among others. Her work in film has earned her several Best Actress nominations. She's also performed theatre/musical theatre on many stages, including Brooklyn Academy of Music, Royal Family Theatre, and 13th Street Repertory, being lucky enough to play classic characters as well as originate roles in new works along the way.
