TRUE CRIME & FORENSICS LIVE EVENTIn amidst all of the incredible activity around the screening of my new screenplay pilot, Vendetta 19, I will also still be presenting a couple of live true crime & forensics events between now and Christmas. The below event sold out last year, and since we have added live actors and new forensics demonstrations of the weapons to the presentation, and the event is half sold already, I’d highly recommend getting your tickets asap.
On 27 October, 1927, Snowy Cutmore lay in his bed at his mother’s boarding house in 50 Barkly Street, Carlton. Little did he know that three men had been drinking in nearby pubs all afternoon, as they rallied themselves to confront Snowy and potentially shoot him.
Three months earlier, Snowy had been in Sydney, and been tightly associated with the Razor Gang run by Norman Bruhn. Norman was shot dead in the street on 23 June 1927, resulting in Squizzy loudly announcing that he would avenge Norman’s death and get his killer.
27 October has gone down shrouded in mystery, misunderstandings, forgotten information, forensics that only sought to document the crime scene without offering any solid conclusion, and a Mandela effect that wrongly suggested that Snowy and Squizzy ended their lives that night in a dual.
To coinside with the 97’th anniversary of the shooting, bestselling true crime author Roy Maloy will present a live reenactment with actors to unpack the forensics behind it all!
