About this Event
Chamber members are invited to visit to Trowbridge Town Hall from 12:30-13:15 on Friday 18th October for a sneak preview of the latest developments in the arts centre's major renovation.
See the fabulous Great Hall in its original layout without partitions and with its stained glass windows exposed. The Great Hall will offer a fantastic historic venue for concerts and events, accommodating up to 500 people. The ground floor has also been transformed into a large open space
A new lift and acoustic panelling for the Great Hall area part of the renovations and the basement cells will be turned into recording studio space for local people to use for music and podcasts. There will also be a café bar with spaces for a wide range of community activities..
Trowbridge Town Hall was built in 1887 and is being restored to improve its facilities as a major community and arts venue. The work is part of a £16m Future High Street project and the newly renovated Town Hall is due to re-open to the public next year.
The tour will last approx 30-45 minutes after which anyone who would like to nip round the corner for some noodles/Asian street food is welcome to join us at the Tailor-made Cafe in St George's Mews.
Booking is essential for health & safety purposes as it is an active building site.
