Hey Folks, Remember us? We're Trooper Thorn, Southern California's Premier Irish Americana Musical String Band (self proclaimed). We are back at the Harp Inn the weekend before Thanksgiving for a Saturday afternoon of music, friends, food, and drink(s). Many of you are asking, "Where are you guys?" Well, we are a globetrotting, country traversing, epic road trip, gas guzzling, interstate nomadic group of guys. Oh yeah, and a couple of us still have actual jobs. Don't get us wrong; we have missed playing very much. We even considered getting together for a rehearsal or two. Well that's a lie; we never discussed rehearsing twice. Of course the rest of that sentence isn't so much a lie as a misstatement of facts. The discussion went something like:
Trooper 1: Man, We should get together for a rehearsal or something...
Other Troopers:
Trooper 1: I mean, not actually a rehearsal, but maybe drinks or something....
Other Troopers: Sounds good!
Trooper 1: Cool, whose buying?
Other Troopers:
The discussion petered out there until we realized, as an autonomous collective, leaderless band, we bring our own, and thus we got together, played some music on the digital mp3 playing app and discussed which songs on which we would totally kick ass.
