With an ensemble of traditional Korean musicians and powerhouse female folk singers, their sound is both rooted in history and infused with a bold, modern twist. They blend ancient instruments like the daegeum, saenghwang, and gayageum with the energetic rhythms of pop, funk, and soul, creating a vibrant musical fusion that’s as deeply cultural as it is exuberant.
Performing repertoire drawn from the sacred gut (ritual music) and minyo (folk song) traditions of the Hwanghae-do region (now in North Korea), ADG7’s music carries the blessings of spiritual energy and the joy of liberation. Founded in 2015 to mark the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation, ADG7 has been redefining traditional Korean music for the modern world.
