Join us for a fun night of Trivia to raise money to provide books for children right here in Daviess County to get a free book in the mail each month! To sign up, email: [email protected]Here is how it will work:
• A team can be up to 8 people. Cost per person is $25, or a maximum of $150 per team. $25 pays for 2 kids for an entire year.
• The emcee will read the question aloud twice, and the question will appear on the screen. You will have one minute to figure out the answer.
• The game is composed of seven rounds of ten questions each. At the end of each round, you'll pass your answers to another table to mark. The answers will be read aloud and put on the screen.
• After marking is complete, the teams switch answer sheets back and each team would read their point total for the round aloud (one-by-one). Scores will be recorded on the scoring sheet.
• Each question is worth 1 point. Each round is worth a total of 10 points.
• There is a “Double Score Round”. Before the quiz begins, each team decides which category they will receive double points in. Categories are on the answer sheet.
• At the end of the 7 rounds, there will be a “Final Trivia Round” where you can bet up to 20 points on a question. The category will be provided prior to placing your bet. If you miss the question, you lose the number of points that you bet. If you win, you win the number of points that you bet.
• In the event of a tie, the tied teams shall be asked a tiebreaker question. The team with the correct (or closest to correct without going over) answer will win the game. In the unlikely event that more than one team puts down the same winning answer, the round will go to the team that hands in their winning answer first to a volunteer stationed near their table.
• No outside help of any kind! cell, text, Internet etc.
• The judge’s decision is final, no matter how unfair it may seem.
• Teams are encouraged to pick a theme and dress up.
• Prizes will be awarded in various categories – best team theme, best team spirit, and overall winner.
• There will be a silent auction and you will have the opportunity to get your picture with “Dolly” (for a donation).
• Munchies, soft drinks, and water are included in your registration fee.
