Join Us for a Trivia Fundraiser to Support Susan Greenfield!
Looking for a fun night out that also makes a real difference? Bring your friends and family to the VFW Lafore Lock Post 755 for an unforgettable evening of trivia, laughter, and community spirit—all for a great cause! The event features brain-teasing trivia games, exciting prizes, a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, and plenty of delicious baked goods, food, and non-alcoholic drinks available for purchase. The VFW will also be hosting a cash bar. You're welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks, too!

Why We're Coming Together for Sue
Over the past year, Susan Greenfield’s world has been turned upside down. In February, she fell and crushed her shoulder, requiring a full replacement. Just as she began recovering, Sue became gravely ill. A hospital visit revealed a lesion on her liver, which was later confirmed to be not cancerous. In the middle of all this, Sue also lost her dentures and couldn’t afford to replace them.
In June, doctors discovered that her shoulder joint was severely infected, requiring yet another surgery on July 2nd. While recovering from that, what was supposed to be her final checkup with her oncologist—after being in remission from stage 3 lung cancer since 2015—revealed a new cancerous mass in her lungs. The medical team now believes this recurrence is also what prevented her shoulder from healing.
Despite everything, Sue remains strong in spirit, but she has not been able to work for over five months, and the mounting medical costs have become overwhelming. She currently receives daily IV antibiotics at home, under the care of a home health nurse.
