TRISTWCH Y FENYWOD (NIGHT SCHOOL - UK)
Singing black-lit liturgies of bog bodies caked in mud, entranced by nocturnal landscapes flickering in the moon-glow and powered by queer enchantment, Tristwch y Fenywod are a Welsh-language gothic avant-rock power-coven. Exhumed from the depths of Leeds’ experimental underground, the trio consist of Gwretsien Ferch Lisbeth (Guttersnipe, The Ephemeron Loop), Leila Lygad (Hawthonn), and Sidni Sarffwraig (Slaylor Moon, The Courtneys).
Formed in 2022, Tristwch y Fenywod record exclusively in the Welsh language, conjuring an eldritch, subterranean, alien folk music played on dual zither, electronic drums, and bass guitar. With towering, siren-like vocals curling around the Welsh consonants, accompanied by stark, martial rhythms and swirling claw-plucked strings, Tristwch y Fenywod feels like an early 4AD recording dredged from the waters of an Anglesey swamp. The effect is simultaneously chilling and stirring. Theirs is an astonishing swell of thrilling chaos.
The translation of their name is The Sadness of Women, which as lead vocalist and zither player, Gwretsien Ferch Lisbeth explains is apt as “there always been a type of sadness and melancholy which is very much woven into my experience of femininity—a cosmic woe that I find inspires me to make music and to write.”
ТЕПЛОТА & ROSA ANSCHÜTZ (ACCIDENTAL MEETINGS, KLANGBAD, MEAKUSMA – UK/GER)
Теплота is the London-based duo of Grundik Kasyansky & Tom Wheatley. Their work interrogates the haptic, social and liberating relationships with technologies old and new; using feedback synthesizer and computer-acoustic bass, they fuse a spontaneous interplay orthogonally over cyclical structures, with techno as perpetual fulcrum. Their 2024 "Skynned" album on Accidental Is half techno, half free jazz; both hypnotic and open-ended, relentless and ephemeral.
Rosa Anschütz immerses herself in new sounds with every new album she makes. What defines her productions is the energetic collection of the texts, which in the flow of things transform into lyrics and are the heart of all her tracks. She now confidently uses all the means of electronic music production and combines them with analogue instruments, with flute, trumpet and guitar; she sings, speaks and breathes with her cold and confident voice. Her latest album "Interior" was released on the legendary German Klangbad.

RED SOFA RADIO (STUDIO NEAU - BE)
Red Sofa Radio is a radio show on Eupen community radio station Studio Néau, with hosts Tim and Joe. Mixing popular as well as underground music, any kind of genre description is rather secondary to their aim which is to provide deep and mesmerizing DJ sets focused on mood and surprise elements.
