About this Event
Relax and soak in the lush greenery at Gardens by the Bay as Cycling Without Age volunteers take you for a scenic trishaw ride along Flower Dome and Cloud Forest to Satay by the Bay.
In conjunction with Youth Day, members get to enjoy fun games such as Ball in a Hole, Ping Pong Throw, and many more games. Stand a chance to win lucky draw prizes!
IMPORTANT
- Each member must be accompanied by 1 caregiver, each trishaw seats 2 passengers only.
- Each member will be given a 20 mins trishaw ride and can play games before and after their ride.
About Cycling Without Age Singapore
Cycling Without Age was started in Denmark in 2012 by Ole Kassow. Ole wanted to help the elderly get back on their bicycles, but he had to find a solution to their limited mobility. His answer was a trishaw and he started offering free bike rides to the local nursing home residents. Since then, Cycling Without Age has spread to 42 countries around the world.
In October 2016, Singapore became the first country in Asia to open a Cycling Without Age chapter. As a registered charity, CWA Singapore not only uses the trishaws as an intervention tool for socio-emotional well-being, but also runs other programmes to engage and empower the seniors of Singapore to live out their best years yet!
