About this Event
Join us to hear local author Trish Bolton talk about her debut novel, Whenever you’re ready, at this in-conversation event with Elizabeth Coleman.
Launched in February 2024, Trish’s book has received widespread publicity.
Whenever you’re ready speaks to the invisibility of older women and the collision of sexism and ageism. Trish describes the book as a love letter to older women, that started with her questioning why so few books feature women in their fifties, sixties, seventies and beyond. Whenever you’re ready places older women at the heart of the story and the centre of the action; strong, interesting women who demand to be heard and seen.
Trish Bolton has been published in The Age, Sunday Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Guardian, The Conversation and The ArtsHub. She has worked as a media adviser to the federal leader of a political party, in policy and research in women's health, and taught media and communications at a number of Melbourne universities.
Elizabeth Coleman is a highly acclaimed scriptwriter of TV series such as Phryne Fisher Mysteries, Mr & Mrs M**der, Seachange, McLeod’s Daughters and many more. Elizabeth has recently published a new book called A dance with M**der.
