Triple P Stepping Stones: Helping Your Child Reach Their Full Potential

Triple P – Positive Parenting Program ® is one of the world’s most effective parenting programs. It gives parents the skills they need to raise confident, healthy children and to build stronger family relationships. It also helps parents manage difficult behavior and prevent problems from occurring in the first place.

Tripple P Stepping Stones Seminars are specifically designed for parents who have children with a disability.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

In this seminar, parents will learn how they can use the positive parenting principles to promote their child’s development by teaching them new skills and behaviors. The six key steps to teaching a new skill will be explored.

These include:

· Choosing a skill to teach.

· Breaking the skill into steps.

· Choosing rewards.

· Deciding on when and where to teach.

· Using effective teaching strategies.

· Keeping track and review.

WHAT RESOURCES DO PARENTS RECEIVE?

Each family will receive a Stepping Stones Triple P Seminar Series Tip Sheet corresponding to the seminar they are attending and a personalized parenting plan to aid in following through with your goals.
