About this Event

After having two books out during the lcokdowns of 2020 and 2021, I thought WHY BLOODY NOT include those in the celebrations for The Wedding Crasher.

As much as the thought of doing a real life book celebration is daunting (I spent the pandemic hosting Instagram Live launches and sipping whiskey in a corner of my bedroom. I literally popped my own party popper), I came across the perfect (and I mean, THE PERFECT) place to hold a launch: Word on the Water on Regents Canal. There's a boat on the cover of The Wedding Crasher. Word on the Water is a bookshop on a canal barge. See where I'm going with this?

The book barge is on Regent's Canal, right next to Coal Drops Yard (Kings Cross). There will be fizz, nibbles , and rumour has it, some jazz. Oh, and there will be books to buy on the night (mine and others!)

The barge has a stage on the roof, so there will be a talk and a reading followed by mingling and basking in the late summer sunshine. The book barge is in a beautiful spot, so the tow path / grass next to the canal will be our party spot for the night. If it rains, there is capacity for 40 inside the barge, but please do a sun dance with me so that we can take over the canal instead.

Okay, that's it! Do RSVP, bring along whoever you'd like (get them to RSVP too) and I'll see you there!
