Triphens (—) Ensemble is a new music ensemble based in Salaya, Thailand. The ensemble aims to perform and beacon the works of young Thai-based composers. In 2023, the ensemble premiered nearly 30 pieces; it performed in venues such as Bangkok Art and Culture Center, Goethe Institut Thailand, and MACM (Thailand International Composition Festival 2023).
Our third performance of 2024 will be at Speakerbox, where we will feature two pieces by Jirapat Leetrakulnamchai and Poomrapee Japakasetr, a student and recent graduate of the College of Music, Mahidol University. Moreover, we will have sessions of improvisation featuring live electronics, no-input mixer, electric guitar, accordion, and clarinet.
