This year we have added a twist to our Trunk or Treat and made it a Trinket or Treat! The idea was to have the traditional Trunk or Treat but instead of just candy, kids can choose candy or a fun Halloween toy. The goal was to make a more inclusive Halloween event where kids who may have severe food allergies, diabetes, are on feeding tubes or any other reason, can participate fully without worry about the candy itself. It's on October 30 from 5-7pm in the North Port High School Parking Lot. I want to make sure all of our trunks/ stations have cool toys to give out with candy so if you would like to help fund some fun toys for the event, I posted an Amazon wish list below.
