About this Event
Currently celebrating its 20th season, Trinity Youth Chorus brings together talented young people ages 5 to 18 from across New York City for musical training, performance opportunities, and mentorship. An integral part of Trinity’s music education offerings, the chorister program promotes lifelong engagement with music.
Gather with past and present members of the beloved Trinity Youth Chorus, led by conductor Peyton Marion, when they come together again on Friday, December 20, to sing A Ceremony of Carols. The exuberant Benjamin Britten piece juxtaposes ancient and modern — Renaissance texts, medieval plainchant, and the composer’s own rich and colorful writing — to spotlight treble voices and harp. Considered one of Britten’s most accessible and delightful works, the choral masterpiece is one of Trinity’s especially popular holiday offerings.
Reception to follow 6:30pm concert.
Doors open 30 minutes before the event start time. Please be advised that seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is highly recommended.
