About this Event
Please join Trinity Place Shelter on October 28, 2021, at the Empire Room at Hudson Yards, for our Annual Gala to raise funds to further the mission of Trinity Place Shelter's staff, residents, and alumni. The event features bubbly and cocktails, appetizers and desserts, a luxury silent auction, and dancing, with TPS supporters and special guests.
Kindly note that Gala tickets are non-refundable. The Gala is subject to COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Based on CDC and New York State guidelines at the time of the Gala, entry requirements for adults include a valid proof of vaccination and a valid government-issued ID. If the Gala cannot be safely held on the currently scheduled date, it will be rescheduled.
About Trinity Place
The mission of Trinity Place Shelter is to help LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults struggling with housing instability safely transition out of the shelter system and into stable housing.
Trinity Place houses young people, ages 18-25, and is one of the only transitional shelters specifically for queer people in the city. Residents of Trinity Place, located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, can stay for up to 18 months and receive individualized care, respect, and access to a variety of social and educational services.
Staffed by social workers, Trinity Place Shelter provides a safe and affirming home with opportunities and resources to heal from the trauma of homelessness and rejection from families of origin while developing the skills necessary to build a meaningful future.
Trinity Place Shelter is a non-sectarian 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This event is being put on by the Trinity Place Fundraising Committee. 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to the shelter. A portion of the ticket price will be tax-deductible, in accordance with state law.
