Text: Isaiah 53:3-9; John 19:13-18, 28-30, 40-42
This is a historical fact: Christ was tried by Pilate, nailed to a cross, physically died, and he was buried in a rich man's tomb. What that means is that we sinners are rescued and reclaimed from the power of sin, all through the precious blood of Christ.
