About this Event
The goal of Tribe Talks is to bring together bright minds, and interesting topics, that can help foster inspiration, provoke conversations that matter, and help to educate our community to do better, and be better. The theme for our first quarter is Sustainability and we will be joined by Boom Saloon, Adam McGibbon, LifeMosaic and Wild Fish.
Join us for our second talk on October 3rd with Campaign strategist & climate campaigner Adam McGibbon.
In 2013, Adam McGibbon takes a risky job, becoming Campaign Manager for Caroline Lucas, the UK's only Green MP.
Caroline Lucas is out to defend her Brighton parliamentary seat for the first time at the 2015 election, with a wafer-thin majority. With the Green Party controlling the local council and making controversial decisions, the local Green Party branch in turmoil and internal polling showing that Lucas will lose - and lose hard - Adam thinks he’s bitten off more than he can chew.
Less than 18 months later, Lucas is re-elected with a large majority over her closest rival, in a huge turnaround that arguably saved the Green Party during a fragile time. This is how the campaign was won.
