Directions - Look for Gables Mills and Chattahoochee Bluffs Apartments sign at Akers Drive and Akers Mill Road. Once on Akers Drive look for the sign for Akers Mill Park on the left at Akers Ridge Drive. Turn left onto Akers Ridge Drive and follow to the gravel parking lot. A $5.00 parking fee is required. We will meet at 9:15 at the picnic area just adjacent to the parking lot and plan to leave at 9:30 to begin our hike. Restrooms are available just down the trail from the parking area. This is a moderate hike with some fairly steep hills, mixed terrain, gravel roads and scenic views of the Chattahoochee River. We plan to do lunch after the hike for anyone who is interested.
