Triangle Federation of the Blind White Cane Seminar and Resource Fair

Welcome to Triangle Federation of the Blind 2nd White Cane Awareness Events 2025! Join us in promoting inclusion, independence and sharing resources for the blind and low vision community at Artspace on Tuesday October 14th, 2025. This event will feature an educational seminar and lunch ($30), an afternoon resource fair(free).

Our key note speaker is Lex Gillette, Lex is a Raleigh Native and the most decoreated totally blind long and triple jumper ins US History. He is a five-time Paralympic medalist and four-time world champion. All proceeds from the event will go to supporting the work of the Triangle Federation of the Blind.

Triangle Federation of the Blind will join North Carolina Council of the Blind for a White Cane March on Wednesday October 15, (Free)

Info: Check in will start at 9:45a. This seminar will provide training and information on how your organization can be better accessible and welcoming to blind and low vision people. The fee is $30 and box lunch will be included.

Info: This resource fair will have interactive demonstrations of braille, technology, cooking and accessible community recreation and leisure activities. We will have valuable information of how to engage the blind and low vision communities. ArtSpace staff will also provide interactive tours. The event is FREE.
