Join author Stephen Wade for a discussion on true crime and the work behind researching fiction, as he launches the first novel in his historical crime trilogy, ‘Trials of the heart’. Stephen will talk about family history and how he wrote crime fact into fiction for ‘Trials of the heart’, which follows the life of a singer in the dance band days of the 1940s, and her relationship with a band leader who becomes involved in a local murder. He will also describe how his own life in Leeds formed the basis of the novel.
Stephen Wade is an author, lecturer and consultant who has written more than 50 books across genres, including true crime, history, westerns and poetry.
