The dark sheep of the international surf rock scene are still going stronger and stronger. Having released 8 albums over a span of 25 years The Tremolo Beer Gut remains a force to be reckoned with on the live stages across the world. In the last couple of years they have trotted the globe delivering smokey silhouetted rock'n'roll shows from Hawai'i to Stockholm and from Buenos Aires to Seattle. This is a band with a serious live pedigree – both as TBG but also with easily more than 1000 shows under their belt combined.
The band was formed in 1998 by Jesper “Yebo” Reginal (Junior Senior, Heavy Trash, THAU etc.) and Sune Rose Wagner (The Raveonettes) on the tour bus of their former band, the seminal Danish grunge trio Psyched Up Janis. They “invented” the TBG specifically as a LIVE band. They drafted two more members in Jengo (Trains & Boats & Planes) and Per Sunding (Eggstone) and the quartet was complete. The Great Nalna (THAU, Tothe International, Heavy Trash), became the band’s live engineer, then record producer and - when Sune left to live in the USA – the lead guitarist of the band.
