📝 Course Description: Trekanten Referee Course – All WeaponsGet started, level up, or return to refereeing!
Whether you’re new to officiating, aiming for a higher level, or returning after a break, this all-weapons referee course is for you. Hosted by Fencing Club Trekanten, the course includes practical and theoretical training across foil, épée, and sabre.
🗓️ Course Timeline
📍 Soft Start – Introduction & Observation
During our summer camp, participants will get an introductory briefing and a chance to observe real bouts from the referee’s point of view.

🕑 18:00–19:00
Latest news from the international (highest level) referee community.
🗓 Friday, August 8
🕑 17:30–20:00
Basic theory and match management.
Pratical competition experience (supervised)
📍 Course Sessions – Theory & Practice
Two structured training sessions with a mix of rules, case studies, and refereeing exercises.
🗓 Sunday, August 17 & Sunday, August 24
🕑 14:00–17:00
📍 Location: Trekanten, Copenhagen
📍 Final Exam – Practical Assessment
We aim to conduct the final practical exam during Week 35 at the Nordic Championships (TBC).

🎓 Certification & Recognition
While the course follows the structure of the Danish national referee levels, it is not officially recognized by the federation (yet). However:
• Graduates will be entered into Trekanten’s official referee roster
• Eligible for refereeing Trekanten competitions
• The course is part of ongoing efforts toward national and international recognition, including a future pathway to FIE certification for top-level (N1) referees

• The course will be conducted in Danish or English, depending on participant needs.
• Participants should bring a notebook / computer.

💳 Payment & Support
Participation in the course will be invoiced to the participant’s home club.
In most cases, the course fee can be covered by the club’s local Municipality, sports council, or other governmental or educational funding schemes.
