Trek Fresno Sunnyside Ditchbank Metric Century

Okay guys, this is going to be a fun one! Come ride 65 miles with us on Veteran's Day. The route will take us up Belmont to the entrance of the Friant-Kern Canal, and from there it's thirty miles of groomed gravel road along the canal all the way up to Millerton Lake. Enjoy scenic views of the Sierra Foothills with zero traffic as we pedal along the canal. We will be keeping a solid B-C pace so pacing, not racing. Target speeds will be about 15-17 mph for the road segments and around 12-15 mph along the canal. There are a few shorter climbs along the route, but nothing too difficult.

Meet up at Trek Fresno Sunnyside at 9:45 AM and we'll roll out at 10:00 AM. We will have three rest stops along the route as well as a stop for lunch, and ice cold waters and assorted snacks will be provided - please bring a few bucks for lunch at the Pizza Factory in Friant. Return SAG is available for those who need to tap out early, but please realize that more than half the route is secluded from the main roads. Alert ride leaders early if you need a ride in so they can coordinate the next pickup point. We won't drop anyone on this ride, but please evaluate your abilities so that the group isn't held back. We will be keeping a fitness pace.
