Treetops Wellbeing and St George’s Church in Wash Common are coming together to host a relaxing Sound Bath evening inside the church space on Saturday 8 November at 5:30pm.Led by Emily Storey the event is open to everyone in the community of Wash Common and nearby (aged over 18). It involves the sound waves, vibrations and frequencies from beautiful crystal bowls, koshi bells and chimes.
The Church provides us with a stunning white high barrelled ceiling which gives us great acoustics, plus low lighting, candlelight and heated flooring, a lovely bonus! There will be warm drinks after the event, giving you a chance to chat and meet other people.
You will need to bring a yoga or camping mat, along with a blanket or two, a cushion and an eye pillow if you have one. If you are unable to get down/up from the floor, please bring a garden reclining chair and blanket to relax in, we have plenty of space.
Sound waves along with their frequency and vibration can help with our wellbeing, relaxation and sleep. During the Sound Bath your body will fully relax, your breath will slow down and your mind will quieten.
Things like stress, trauma, negative thinking and suppressed emotions can knock us out of tune, which creates a sense of disharmony in the body, Sound Healing is the use of healing frequencies to essentially ‘tune’ us and shift us back into balance and harmony. When the crystal singing bowls are played, the healing frequencies emitted from the bowls, locate the less harmonious frequencies within us and work to shift the disharmony back into harmony again.
The class runs for 75 minutes and costs an introductory price of £12.
