Discover the beauty of growing trees for small gardens and learn how to nurture greenery in compact spaces!
About this Event

This workshop provides techniques to help design a stunning garden with beautiful small trees in compact areas. Garden specialist Chris Ferreira will provide his expert knowledge on how to create an eye-catching, drought resilient garden no matter the size that will help to slash power and water bills and lift real estate values. Chris will bring a suite of beautiful waterwise plants as examples as well as wonderful prizes and give aways for workshop attendees.



What to Expect

Time- 2 hour workshop

Location- Inside, Binjar Room

Adult learning space- guests are expected to turn off phones, be respectful to the educator and exit discreetly when needed. This event is unlikely to be suitable for children.

Event activities will start on time, but if you are running late, you may still join.

Accessibility- This event will be mostly sitting with some light movement. Disabled parking is available at front of Centre, rooms are located on multiple levels via a ramp. For specific access requirements please feel free to call or email the centre at (08)9364 0191 or [email protected]



Directions to Centre

The Centre is located at 555 Leach Highway, Winthrop in the Piney Lakes reserve. To reach us, if heading westbound, take the first left after Murdoch Drive on Leach Highway. If coming from the Fremantle area, continue on Leach Hwy across Murdoch Drive and use the designated U-turn just after the lights to move to the westbound lanes. Go back through the lights at Murdoch Drive and take the first left. Please park in the signed public carpark.

Bring the following items for recycling at Piney Lakes when you attend a workshop: household batteries, printer cartridges, light globes, mobile phones and chargers, writing instruments, plastic bread tags, beauty packaging, oral care products, plastic bottle lids and Medic*tion blister packets.
