By the end of the course, delegates will:
Understand the importance of trees in the broader environment; Be familiar with the essential physiological function of trees and factors affecting their growth; Understand the reasons for planting trees, various planting techniques and the right time to grow; Be aware of the importance of site preparation, using the right equipment, tree handling and storage; Understand how to protect newly planted trees against potential pests; Understand the importance of aftercare for freshly planted trees and the various techniques for doing so; Understand the requirement to have the correct certification to undertake specific tasks, such as chemical spraying; Understand the importance of biosecurity when working with trees.

What will you receive?
Upon completion of this Tree Planting & Aftercare Course, all delegates will be issued a workbook and certificate of attendance.
In the first part of the day, we will explore the importance of trees and the different settings in which they are planted and managed. This will include understanding methods to plant that ensure successful establishment.
The second part of the day will be a practical session. Following a safety induction, all learners will be able to put into practice what they have learnt in the morning.
