About this Event
This is a level 1 course and is suitable for all abilities and ages over 6
You will learn to make your own tree of life pendant along side the tutor on this live face-to-face and online interactive course.
This course is based around basic wirework and beading. Techniques covered in this class include:
- About the tools
- The different wires and what they are used for
- How to create loops and manipulate wire
- How to plan your designs
- Adding your beads
- Basic wire bending, hooping and twisting using tools and hands
- How to make a bail to hang on your chain
- Wrapping and securing your wires
Learn little tips so as not to snag your jewellery on your clothes and how to make your tree look more organic.
Now the Jewellery School is re-open, there are 4 tickets that can be purchased to join me face-to-face in the workshop and have me on hand to solve any issues when you get stuck.
If face-to-face isn't for you, you can purchase tickets to join it live on zoom!
The difference between doing a live class and purchasing a video course, is that I will be there!
This means you can ask questions, get help when you are stuck, meet other like minded people and enjoy this online group workshop setting. I will be there to support you every step of the way and you will be able to see the process at different angles so you will be able to create your beautiful Tree of Life pendant with ease.
The workshop will be split into 2 parts... The first part includes learning the skills and making the wire work structure of the pendant. We will then have a coffee break and you can join the workshop again using the link posted in the chat.
The second part will be how to add the leaves... the gemstones to your tree. This part is where your creativity really comes into play. During this time we can chat and I will be on hand to answer any questions and get to know you more.
There are Four options available
1. Live Course Only - this means you will get access to the live course without tools or materials.
2. Live Course with Materials - this includes the posting of materials but no tools so great if you already have your own! UK ONLY
3. The Full Package - Live Course, Materials and Professional tools - Everything you need to start creating your own amazing jewellery from home. UK ONLY
4. Workshop Ticket - This includes having me there face-to-face, the materials and use of tools. Extra materials and your own set of tools will be available for purchase on the day.
Please ensure if you want materials or tools and you are doing the online options, you book this option by 24th September to allow for postage.
If you book the options where materials need posting after the 24th Sept, there is no guarantee you receive your tools and materials in time.
There are very limited numbers for material and tools
Materials: Gemstone chip beads, 0.4mm x5 20cm and 1mm x1 wire x 18cm
Tools: Side cutters, bent nose pliers, round nose pliers and nylon coated pliers (optional)
You will also need a bottle between 4-6cm in diameter (shower gel , hand cream, small jar...)
