Hosted in partnership with the Idaho Falls Farmers Market and the City of Idaho Falls, this day feels straight out of a classic holiday film, twinkling lights, joyful music, and the spirit of the season filling the streets of downtown.
🎁 Here’s what’s happening throughout the day:
• Spend the afternoon shopping your favorite downtown boutiques, sipping warm drinks, and enjoying a meal at one of our many local restaurants.
• Visit the Holiday Farmers Market from 4–8 PM on Memorial Drive featuring 100+ vendors with unique gifts, food, and festive beverages.
• Take a complimentary horse-drawn trolley ride from 3–5 PM, starting and ending at Civitan Plaza (Park Ave & B Street).
➤ Trolley rides continue every Saturday: Nov. 29, Dec. 6, Dec. 13, and Dec. 20 from 1–3 PM.
• Gather at Broadway Plaza (Broadway & Memorial Drive) for the Tree Lighting Ceremony and Santa visits beginning at 6 PM!
🎄 The 6 PM Tree Lighting Ceremony
Watch as the Bank of Commerce & Kiewit “Idaho’s Brave” Christmas Tree comes to life — adorned with thousands of lights and ornaments honoring Idaho’s military heroes.
Special gold star ornaments with purple ribbons represent those who gave their lives in action, while blue and red ribbons honor all who have served.
🇺🇸 The Color Guard will post the colors as Carmen Peters, National Guard Survivor Outreach Services Coordinator, performs the National Anthem.
Then, Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Mayor Rebecca Casper will arrive on the Farr’s Candy antique fire engine to officially light up the 20-foot tree and the Friendship Gardens!
