
About this Event
Tree Canada, in collaboration with Root for Trees, is excited to celebrate National Tree Day (NTD), presented by BMO. This is the biggest NTD celebration yet, with events taking place across the country during National Forest Week.Join us to plant trees at Terwillegar Park.Tree Canada experts and volunteers will be there to provide support and answer your tree questions. We’ll also provide gloves and shovels!
How you'll be making an impact
By joining this free event, volunteers will help grow and expand the urban forest at Terwillegar Park. The addition of native species in the area will help to support wildlife, provide shade, and beautify the public park.
Free Food:
This is a catered event! Volunteers can grab a snack and beverage, courtesy of Starbucks.
What to wear and bring:
Volunteers should wear and bring the following:
- Water bottle
- Sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots
- Long pants
- Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray
- Hat
- Hand sanitizer
This rain or shine event will take place unless the forecast calls for thunderstorms or very heavy rainfall.

Limited public Parking is available. Carpooling, public transport, and active transport is recommended.
Terrain:
Easy-Flat Terrain. Planting will be in a seperated area from a dog park.

This is a community event. Businesses and corporations must contact us to reserve tickets for their teams.
