The holiday season can be a stressful time for people, especially for parents who are trying their hardest to give their families the impossible “perfect holiday.” At the latest Fairfield University Campus Connect event, Dr. Linda Roney, Fairfield Egan School of Nursing & Health Studies, and Dr. Paula Gill Lopez, Fairfield School of Education and Human Development professor of pyschological and educational consultation, will provide tips on giving yourself the gift of well-being; one that requires no credit card and will help make the holidays more enjoyable.Treat Yourself to the Gift of Mindfulness and Gratitude this Holiday Season on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the Second Story of the Fairfield University Store, 1499 Post Road in downtown Fairfield.
Dr. Roney and Dr. Gill Lopez will guide attendees through the chaos of the season to collect themselves, practice mindfulness and gratitude, and savor the good. Parents in particular are encouraged to bring their children or other family members for which they provide care. Fairfield University nursing and psychology students will facilitate relaxing and fun holiday craft projects with the children while mom or dad enjoys the guided mindfulness in a separate room on the Second Story of the bookstore. *If bringing children to event, please indicate how many children when registering at the link below.
