On Friday, October 4, Arts Excursions Unlimited is having a TREASURES SALE to raise money for a long distance, multi-day excursion for 40 people aged 2-85 who live in Greater Hazelwood.We are hosting fundraisers throughout the year to raise $25,000 to pay for transportation, lodging, food, and museum admission fees to another city. We have been to Chicago, Philadelphia, New York City, and Washington D.C. to research large and small arts institutions, public art, transportation, and neighborhoods to bring back inspiration and ideas to Hazelwood.
On October 4th from 2-8pm you can expect a friendly community art and vintage sale in a garage that functions as a studio, meeting space, workshop, and hang out location. We make art and relationships at this site that was once a former gas station and prior offices of Hazelwood Initiative and Planned Parenthood.
AEU is located at 5125 Second Avenue, 15207 intersecting Johnston Avenue - look for the big corner lot with a gazebo. Street parking is available on Second Avenue and Johnston Avenue. Bus lines 56, 57, and 93 stops are adjacent to the AEU studio. This is an ADA compliant building.
And Pole-2-Poles will be on site with their beautiful handmade VOTE signs to take home and put in your yard.
