Join the Roanoke Renaissance Vocal Ensemble in their debut concert, featuring soaring sacred works of the 15th and 16th century in the Basilica of St. Andrew's, a towering space with rarefied acoustics for unaccompanied vocal music. Program highlights include Josquin de Prez's famous "Ave Maria, Virgo Serena" and English choral works by Thomas Tallis and Orlando Gibbons. The program will also feature contemporary sacred composers, including Swedish composer Knut Nystedt and Kevin Siegfried, an American composer based in Boston.
