TRC is hosting a food drive at Moe's Record Shop! π₯π₯We are looking for canned food and non perishables. These canned goods will be bagged and distributed at the People's Potluck on Friday the 21st 1-6:00pm, alongside the free sexual and menstrual care packages we provide, and a mini clothing swap. We wanted to collect food and other resources for the workers of our Gainesville community, especially the ones that work on the square as the square could not be possible without them in the first place! These folks work long shifts, sometimes have two or three side gigs and still have to figure out how to pay the rent at the end of the day. When our state fails us we must show up for each other! Mutual aid is an important aspect of organizing not just because it provides material help to people but it also shows our community another world is possible. Help and mutual aid directly from the people TO the people!βπ½
You can drop off canned foods and non-perishables at Moe's Record Place on the GVL Square until the 19th. We'll be packing all items in bags to then give away on the 21st at our People's Potluck and Free Things Market!
Bring a dish Friday Nov 21st 1-6:00pm to Moe's Record Shop for the People's Potluck!
We'll have:
-bags of the canned food and non-perishables
-menstrual (pads AND tampons) and sxual(condoms) health care packages
-emergency contraceptives like Plan B
-birth control (the O-Pill)
AND we'll also have 2 tables available for a clothing swap.
Bring a dish for the potluck. We'll have bagged canned foods, sexual and menstrual health care packages, and clothing swap for free available!
