Discover New Languages with Thomas Rotherham College Evening Classes Have you ever wanted to learn a new language or improve your existing skills? Thomas Rotherham College offers the perfect opportunity with its diverse range of evening language classes. Catering to everyone from complete beginners to improvers and intermediate learners, we provide courses in French, German, Italian, Spanish and NEW for 2025/6 GREEK.
Our classes are designed to be enjoyable and are conducted in a friendly, supportive environment. With no exams to worry about, you can focus solely on learning, meeting new people and having fun. Sessions are held on weekday evenings at our beautiful main college site on Moorgate Road, featuring ample free on-site parking and excellent transport links.
By the end of the beginner programme, you'll be able to greet people and introduce yourself, ask simple questions, shop for food, souvenirs and clothes, order drinks and meals at a bar or restaurant, and ask for and give directions. Our Improvers and Intermediate classes will enable you to discuss hobbies, leisure interests, events, and even Britain’s favourite topic—the weather! Completing these courses will boost your confidence to converse with locals during holidays or business trips.
All classes commence the week of October 6th, 2025 (Italian starts 22nd September), and run for 22 weeks, with a break during half-term weeks, concluding towards the end of April 2026. The cost for the full 22-week course is £199.
To help you choose the right class, join us at our Evening Language Class Open Evening on Tuesday, September 9th, from 6:00 to 7:30pm. Meet our language team, enjoy refreshments, and learn more about our language class offerings. Please note that this event is exclusively for our Evening Language Classes and not for our Sixth Form provision, which will have a separate event in November.
