Born and raised in North Carolina, now making New London County his home, Travis Hyll is a singer/songwriter who showcases his southern soul and diverse musical background in his powerful performances. He previously worked in a band with the brother and nephew of 25 time platinum country icon Randy Travis, as well as provided session work to several Nashville recording artists. He is an accomplished solo artist whose original compositions demonstrate an authentic, emotive, and timeless spirit inspired by his real-life values and experiences. His musical style often incorporates old time and folk elements pulled from his mother's deep Western North Carolina roots, country/western flair from his father's Texan roots, the soulful power of Southern rock and blues, and the evocative old world feel of Celtic traditions.
Travis was born in North Carolina to a disabled veteran father and was raised with the influence of his grandparents who were themselves veterans in Korea and WWII. They endured difficult lives as poor sharecroppers during the Great Depression, typifying the southern experience of their era, and later worked in textile mills. From them, Travis learned the values of faith, patriotism, hard work, enduring pain, refusing to give up, and fulfilling one's duty. These lessons propelled him to push through hardships in order to make a name for himself and advance in life no matter the obstacles.
In February of 2023, Travis relocated to New England, quickly gaining a reputation as a premier artist on equal ground with longstanding regional acts. He has been regularly performing at festivals and venues across the region ever since, with his organic following growing exponentially.
In October of 2023, Travis Hyll independently released his single “This Gold Ring,” written about the enduring value and sanctity of marriage, and in March 2024 he released his single “The Lineman Song,” based on his personal experiences as a former line worker and steward.

Travis is known for his powerful voice, instrumental skills, and passionate performances. His tremendous repertoire spans multiple genres and includes his personalized renditions of rock hits, country classics, folk tunes, pop hits, and traditional music of the British Isles.
A major highlight of his diverse musical background includes performing in a band with the brother and nephew of world renowned, multi-platinum country star Randy Travis from 2017 to 2018, including at a festival in their hometown of Marshville, NC, during which he met Randy personally and the mayor presented Randy the key to the city.
