Travel nights: Life on the lunar station and the Arctic Circle

The new edition of Travel Nights in Prostor brings us stories about life on the lunar station and the Arctic Circle, told by artist Ivana Tkalčić.
Ivana will talk about the unique experience of being on a simulated lunar station, where she participated in analog astronaut training as part of the EuroMoonMars initiative of the European Space Agency as part of the project "Astronaut(s) without a spaceship". Ivana will share with us the experience of what it was like to live and work on a "space station", facing challenges such as limited resources and surviving in stressful conditions, all through the perspective of an artist who explores the motives of the space race.
The second part of the trip will take us to the north of Norway, to the Finnmark region, where Tkalčić participated in the Hyperborealis art residency. In the beautiful, harsh landscape of the Arctic Circle, she explored the connection between man, nature and wind, as a continuation of the project "Astronaut(s) without a spaceship". Through this conversation, he will share with us the story of life in extreme conditions and artistic work inspired by these experiences.
Travel nights in Prostor are for all travel lovers but also for anyone interested in learning about other cultures, meeting like minded people, exchanging knowledge, tips and simply socialising.
It’s an informal storytelling event in which someone who travelled to an interesting place in the world tells its story - good things and the bad, amazing discoveries as well as challenges.
