About this Event

I'm a retired nurse that opened a travel business 2 year ago to help people like myself travel and explore the world, especially the African diaspora. The challenge was that I was diagnosed with metastatic ovarian cancer in 2015 and given 2 months to live. Yeah!!!

So, what do you do when you are given a short time to live? You do everything on your "before I kick the bucket list", right? And I did just that.

I've always been an adventurous person, but now I traveled with intent. And, mostly as a solo person because I couldn't wait for others to go with me, although that is the ideal way to travel.

I'm still in active treatment and have been for the last 7 plus years and some places I just didn't want to go alone. Therefore, I decided to bring others along for the adventure so I started the travel business. Now I'm celebrating 2 years as a certified travel advisor.
