At Valerie’s House, our mission is to ensure that no child grieves alone. While we typically serve local families through our peer support groups, we are honored to open our doors to fellow professionals for this NACG National Webcast. We invite you to learn, reflect, and engage with a community of like-minded, grief-focused advocates in the comfort of our "home."

This session explores the complex intersections of trauma and loss, focusing on:

• Systemic Impact: How historic and systemic oppression shape the homicide-related grief experiences of youth and families.
• Responsive Strategies: Culturally attuned methods for addressing stigmatized emotions like vengefulness, guilt, and shame.
• Developmental Perspectives: Trauma-related grief behaviors as they emerge across the lifespan for survivors of violence.

• Setting: We invite you to join us in our cozy, supportive environment.
• Hospitality: Light refreshments will be provided to keep you fueled during the session.
• Community: This is a "Live Interactive" format, allowing local professionals to network and process the material together.

NACG has been approved for 3.0 CE credits with the ASWB, NBCC, & NYSED.

• CE Cost: $45 per person (payable to NACG after the event).
• Process: Valerie’s House will facilitate the official sign-in/sign-out process to verify attendance. You may opt-out of CEs during registration if you are attending for informational purposes only.
