Background
Establishing safety is crucial to trauma-informed practice, as we cannot help others to heal if they do not feel safe.
This unique residential course in St. Andrews gives you the opportunity to uncover how trauma is an embodied experience that affects the body as well as the mind. You will explore these embodied aspects of trauma in a supportive space, and draw on the experiences of other practitioners to develop best practice. Spread across three days, sessions will combine trauma theory with practical strategies, in-depth discussion and sensory activities.
Through understanding that becoming trauma-informed is a process, you will establish where you/your organisation is on this journey and what you can do to take steps forward and change lives.

NOTE: Ticket prices include full accommodation (your own single bedroom including en-suite bathroom) and meals for the duration of the residential.
Facilitator
Jan Montgomery is an experienced therapist who works across the lifespan. She is a qualified Life Coach, Play Therapist and Adult Psychotherapist. Jan specialises in working with trauma and has a passion for sharing her learning in an accessible and creative format.
