We are excited to invite you to an upcoming Trauma Informed Awareness Training session designed to enhance your understanding and response to trauma. This training will equip you with valuable tools and insights to create a more supportive environment for those in the workforce and the population.

This training session will be carried out by Emmerline Irving and Kelly Laycock who co-lead on the West Yorkshire Adversity, Trauma and Resilience Programme.
This training will provide you with an understanding of what trauma is, how it affects individuals, and the importance of fostering a safe and supportive environment. We’ll cover key concepts, including:
- Understanding Trauma: Exploring the different types of trauma and their effects on individuals.
- Principles of Trauma-Informed Care: Learning the core principles that guide trauma-informed practices.
- Practical Strategies: Identifying actionable steps we can take to implement these principles in our work.
By the end of this session, you’ll have a deeper appreciation for the experiences of those we serve and the tools to help create a more compassionate, understanding environment.
We have 20 places available and they will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. There is also the facility to add your name to a waiting list.
