Trauma-Informed Principles:
- Principles for becoming trauma-informed.
- Tools, strategies, and actions for organizational implementation.
Training Objectives Participants will:
- Identify different types of trauma in themselves and others, including secondary trauma.
- Respond appropriately to trauma during interactions with trauma survivors.
- Manage secondary trauma healthily, both immediately and in the long term.
- Develop stronger relationships with Indigenous Nations and participants who have experienced trauma.
- Reduce stress and anxiety related to hearing about trauma.
- Improve resilience and overall health.
- Tailor mediating and negotiation processes to be trauma-informed.
- Develop internal guidance to integrate a trauma-informed approach into processes.
